About Pacific Paws

At Pacific Paws, we believe lasting behavior change starts with supporting your dog’s nervous system. Rather than simply addressing unwanted behaviors and symptoms, we focus on helping dogs regulate, settle, and navigate the world with confidence. Many behavioral challenges stem from under fulfillment, overstimulation, overwhelm, or a lack of structure and guidance. By addressing these root causes, we help dogs develop the skills they need to thrive.

Through thoughtful training and clear communication, we work hands-on with your dog while guiding you through the skills and confidence to lead them effectively. Our fulfillment services complement this work by maintaining structure, reinforcing training, and providing healthy outlets for your dog’s mind and body.

Meet Sophia

— Founder & Head Trainer

Sophia is the heart behind Pacific Paws! Animals have been a huge part of her life for as long as she can remember, and she’s always been fascinated by their behavior and the unique bond we share with them. She loves helping people see their dogs in a new light, understand what they need and discover just how much they can accomplish together. For Sophia, dog training is about more than behaviors — it’s about building trust, growing together, and creating a fulfilling life for both ends of the leash!

Meet Darian

Darian is an audio engineer originally from Massachusetts and a huge helping hand on the Pacific Paws team. She helps with our fulfillment services (dog walks & drop-in visits), helping ensure your pets are happy, healthy and well cared for.

Using the 4-week training session, our puppy learned to sit, stay, walk (on a leash without pulling), 'place', experience exposure therapy, tricks like 'paw' and 'spin' and much more. SO wonderful - and a great investment in family-dog harmony.
