About Pacific Paws

At Pacific Paws, we believe lasting behavior change starts with supporting your dog’s nervous system. Rather than simply correcting behaviors, we focus on helping dogs learn how to regulate, settle and navigate the world calmly. Many common challenges stem from dogs being overwhelmed, over-aroused or lacking the structure they need to feel balanced.

Through thoughtful training, clear communication and appropriate training tools, we help build a cooperative relationship between you and your dog. We work hands-on with your dog while also guiding you, so you feel confident leading them effectively.

After training, our fulfillment services help maintain structure, reinforce skills and provide healthy outlets for your dog’s mind and body. With the right balance of mental and physical stimulation, we help you and your dog maintain a happy, balanced partnership built on trust, understanding and fulfillment.

Meet Sophia

— Lead Trainer & Fulfillment Handler

Hi! I’m Sophia, the heart and soul of Pacific Paws!

Throughout my life, animals have always held a special place in my heart. Growing up surrounded by pets, I developed a deep passion for their well-being and the bonds they share with humans. My journey in pet care began with hands-on experience and grew into years of working with animals, including volunteering at rescue shelters in Portland, OR.

In 2019, I moved to Eugene to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology at the University of Oregon, where I deepened my knowledge of animal behavior and social structures. After graduating in 2021, I committed to dog training and pet care full-time, earning my Certificate in Dog Training Knowledge (CDTK).

Now, I’m thrilled to continue supporting dogs and their owners. My goal is to provide effective training that not only helps dogs succeed but also empowers owners to build strong, lasting relationships with their pets. I believe that with the right approach, every dog can become a happy, well-balanced companion, and I’m excited to be a part of that journey!

Meet Darian

— Fulfillment Handler

Darian is an audio engineer originally from Massachusetts and a huge helping hand on the Pacific Paws team. She handles much of our fulfillment services (dog walks & drop-in visits, transportations), helping ensure your pets are happy, healthy and well cared for.
