Training Services

New clients will start with an in-home initial consultation where we’ll discuss your goals and motivations for starting your training journey. We'll review your dog’s background, daily routine, temperament, and breed to uncover the causes of unwanted behaviors and the best approaches to take.

We’ll also cover essential tools for success, such as crates, slip leads, long-lines, muzzles, food rewards, treat pouches, place cot, e-collars and more.

This is where we will make our recommendation on which training options would be best moving forward.

What is your style of training?

My training style prioritizes these methods:

  • Balanced training uses both rewards and fair corrections to create clear communication and establish healthy boundaries. When applied thoughtfully, corrections help keep dogs safe and allow them to clearly understand what’s expected of them. These may include verbal cues, spatial pressure, a tap on the e-collar, or temporarily removing access to an object or space.

We utilize a variety of training tools based on each individual dog’s needs and training goals, including food rewards, place cots, slip leads, e-collars and muzzles. Training tools are not shortcuts — when used responsibly, they enhance communication, improve safety, and support consistency. This clarity makes it easier for owners to follow through in everyday life, leading to long-term, reliable results.

  • Consistency is key in dog training. Inconsistency will confuse your dog, that’s why our training requires dedication from the owners to implement lifestyle changes to support their dog’s progress. Training takes time, patience, and often some trial and error — but you’re not alone in the process.

  • We always take a step back to look at the full picture and encourage owners to do the same. Our approach depends on the dog, the owner, and their lifestyle. Training isn’t one-size-fits-all, and sometimes we adjust our methods to fit what works best. Our goal is to make training practical and sustainable for everyday life.

What topics are covered during our training?

Training sessions are tailored to fit your dog’s needs and specific challenges; some topics we will cover include:

  • Leash work isn’t just about walking politely — it’s about connection. Stress-free walks strengthen your bond, build focus on your cues and teach your dog to move when you move and stop when you stop, resulting in calmer, more enjoyable outings.

  • Basic obedience may include, but are not limited to:

Foundational training may include marker words, crate and potty training, sit, down, release cues, place work, threshold manners and recall.

  • Exposure and socialization focus on building confidence in new environments. True socialization means neutrality — calmly observing the world without reacting — which supports impulse control, confidence and focus.

  • Behavior modification addresses unwanted behaviors by teaching more appropriate responses. Whether a dog struggles with reactivity, aggression, or separation-related behaviors, we focus on root causes and use techniques like desensitization, neutrality training and lifestyle adjustments to create lasting change over time.

  • E-collar training uses a remote-controlled collar to communicate with your dog in a precise and controlled way. It’s a training tool designed to reinforce commands, improve focus, and strengthen the connection between you and your dog. By providing a consistent, clear signal, the e-collar helps your dog understand what is expected of them, even in distracting or high-energy situations.

When paired with positive reinforcement, e-collar training teaches dogs to respond reliably to commands, enhances their ability to self-regulate, and encourages calm, focused behavior. This method is especially useful for off-leash reliability, recall, boundary training, and managing reactive tendencies. Ultimately, the goal is to improve communication, promote safety, and build a confident, well-mannered dog that understands your guidance in a variety of real-world environments.

✨It's important to understand that training is most effective when it's consistently integrated into your everyday life. The work we do together is just the beginning — your dog’s progress depends on regular reinforcement and continued structure at home. Lasting results come from treating training as a lifestyle, not just a temporary phase. Training is only as successful as the owner is consistent!

Board & Train Program

Our Board & Train program is an intensive and comprehensive training solution for busy dog owners seeking professional help with behavioral or foundational skills.

Your dog will stay in a home environment Monday-Friday, receiving daily, hands-on training in a structured, real-life setting. On Fridays, your dog returns home to spend the weekends practicing their new skills - to ensure a smooth transition!

Whether you've got a new puppy or a dog struggling with reactivity, we'll create a customized plan to meet your goals. Through consistent structure and clear communication, your dog will gain confidence and build lasting habits.

Includes 1 go-home session + 1 follow-up training session.

  • This program is perfect for puppies or dogs without major behavior issues. We will focus on creating structure, teaching essential obedience, potty training, crate training, loose leash walking, threshold manners and establishing calm, respectful behaviors in everyday life.

    Investment: $2650 (15 days)

  • The 4 week program is designed for dogs who may be in need of behavior modification. We will work to establish the basics plus help manage behavioral issues your dog may be facing. This may be over-excitement/hyperarousal, aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, fearfulness etc.

    Investment: $3350 (20 days)

Regression can happen — dogs may temporarily forget or test boundaries, especially after time away from structured training. This refresher will help address these lapses quickly, ensure your dog gets back on track and continues to build confidence and consistency.

We’ll focus on resetting foundations and fine tuning their skills so we can continue advancing your dog’s training.

Note: this is for clients who have been doing their very best at maintaining training, this is not to re-train your dog on skills that have not been practiced at home!

Investment: $1000 per week (7 days)

  • For dogs older than 6 months.

This is to start the process in conditioning your dog to an e-collar. All e-collar equipment (either the mini or micro educator) will be provided by E-collar Technologies.
