Terms of Service

Please read through this carefully.

For the purposes of this agreement, the term “Pacific Paws'' and refers to all owners/operators/trainers/handlers of Pacific Paws. The term “client” refers to the pet owner(s) and/or homeowner(s) who are engaging the services of Pacific Paws. The term “pet“ or “dog” (in both singular and plural forms) means any animal under the care of Pacific Paws. 

The Client agrees to the following terms and releases Pacific Paws from certain responsibilities and liabilities:

The Trainer agrees to to create an environment that is as safe as possible for the training and care of my dog and will offer safe and responsible training instructions. However, I recognize and acknowledge that Pacific Paws is not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. I understand that the recommended use of any product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service.

Further, I agree that I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times. I agree to hold harmless Pacific Paws of any claims of injury, expense, damages or costs associated with or caused by the actions of my dog while under instruction from Pacific Paws, or under my own care as a result of following training instructions from Pacific Paws. I understand the inherent risks of owning a dog and I agree to take full responsibility for the actions of my dog at all times.

I understand that part of Pacific Paws' training may include transporting my dog to public locations to further practice training skills. I am aware of the potential risks of transportation that include but are not limited to, loss, injury or death due to accident. I agree to assume all risks and costs associated with transportation of my dog throughout the entire Pacific Paws training program.

I certify that my dog is in good health and has not been ill with any communicable diseases within the past 60 days. I certify that my dog has not been exposed to, or shown symptoms of, Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Papilloma or Conjunctivitis within a 60-day period prior to drop off.


I acknowledge that my dog will be trained or groomed, or otherwise handled or cared for by Pacific Paws without liability on the part of Pacific Paws' representatives for loss or damage from disease, running away, theft, fire, injury to persons, other pets, or property by said pet, or other unavoidable causes, care having been duly exercised.

I understand, agree and authorize, at my expense, that if in Pacific Paws' opinion my dog is in need of medical attention, that medical or emergency services will be sought. In the case of an emergency, if my dog needs immediate medical care, I authorize Pacific Paws to transport my dog to the 24-hour Emergency Veterinary Hospital (1821 Pioneer Pkwy E, Springfield, OR 97477). I understand that I am responsible for any and all costs associated with the emergency visit and agree to promptly provide payment information directly to Emergency Veterinary Hospital.

I understand that my dog will be taught using balanced training methods which includes but is not limited to the use of positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment and negative punishment. I further agree to the use of training tools for my dog that includes but is not limited to, food, leash, slip lead, flat collar, prong collar, electronic collar, and/or muzzle.

I understand that although my dogs will learn multiple behaviors, routines, patterns, basic obedience and/or management while in the care of Pacific Paws, it is my responsibility to maintain those skills and continue with training upon the dog’s completion of training. I further acknowledge that I will implement the suggestions given by Pacific Paws on how to maintain and continue the dog’s progress. However, if the dog regresses, I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for not maintaining and furthering the training once the dog is back in my care.

I understand that animal behavior is never fixed or static. I acknowledge that any animal has the ability to change its behavior depending on circumstances or environment. Further, I understand that behaviors can change, fade and/or be extinguished over time without consistent repetition and practice. A dog’s behavior is never “cured” and has the ability to change or regress at any time. I understand that my dog’s behavior is my responsibility.

I understand that Pacific Paws does not guarantee that my dog can be trained, will never bite, or that my dog will not become aggressive, reactive, dangerous or vicious in the future. I also understand that Pacific Paws does not guarantee that my dog’s modification of behavior will last for any length of time. I acknowledge that every dog is different in regards to temperament, breeding, and/or ability and no behavior modifications are ever guaranteed.

I authorize Pacific Paws to use, publish or reproduce any photos, audio, video recordings or other media of my dog(s).

Pacific Paws reserves the right to refuse service and/or terminate services for any reason that the trainer/handler deems reasonable. 

Handlers may be up to 45 minutes late or early to appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic or unexpected events with a prior client. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide quality care and attention to every appointment.

The Client may reschedule up to three sessions per program with at least 24 hours notice. Additional rescheduling requests or missed sessions may not be accommodated, and no refunds will be provided.

Payment Policy

Single appointments:

I require full payment at time of appointment booking through the appointment scheduler.

Training Programs:

Training programs must be purchased through the Pacific Paws website.

Cancellation Policy

Single Services & Packages:

You have until 1 day (24 hours) before the start of our appointment to cancel for 100% refund. If canceled less than 1 day (24 hours) before our appointment, no refund will be provided.

Training Programs:

You have until 7 days (168 hours) before the first appointment in the program to cancel for 100% refund.

If cancelled later than 7 days (168 hours) before the first appointment in the program, 50% refund will be provided.
