Service Waiver

For the purposes of this agreement, the term “Pacific Paws'' refers to all owners/operators/trainers/handlers of Pacific Paws. The term “client” refers to the pet owner(s) and/or homeowner(s) who are engaging the services of Pacific Paws. The term “pet“ or “dog” (in both singular and plural forms) means any animal under the care of Pacific Paws.

The Client agrees to the following terms and releases Pacific Paws from certain responsibilities and liabilities:

1. Trainer Responsibilities

The Trainer agrees to:

Use safe and humane training methods that prioritizes the dog’s well-being. Provide guidance for continued practice. Be available for questions or support during the duration of the program.

2. Assumption of Risk

Client acknowledges that dog training/pet care can involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injuries to the Pet, Client, Trainer/Handler, or third parties. Client agrees to assume all risks associated with training, handling, or interactions with their pet(s).

3. Health & Behavior Disclosure

Client confirms that the pet is current on vaccinations and is free from contagious illnesses or infections at the time of service. Client agrees to disclose any aggressive tendencies, past behavioral issues, or history of biting or injuring to humans or animals before service begins.

4. Emergency Veterinary Care

In the event of an injury or medical emergency during a service, Pacific Paws will attempt to contact the Client immediately. If the Client is unavailable, the Client grants permission to Pacific Paws to act on behalf of the Client and will take the pet(s) to the 24-hour Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Springfield, Oregon. Client further agrees to pay for and/or reimburse the cost of any and all veterinary or reasonably necessary services who costs Pacific Paws may incur. All decisions made at the veterinary clinic will be made by the Client. Client understands that if they are unavailable to be reached, the veterinary care team will provide care as deemed necessary for the welfare of the pet(s). The Client understands that Pacific Paws cannot be held responsible for the results of the veterinary treatment or the death of the pet(s).

5. Liability Waiver

Client agrees to release and hold harmless Pacific Paws from all liability, should the pet become lost or injured, should the home of the Client suffer any damage not due to any negligence on Pacific Paws’ part. Client agrees that Pacific Paws is not responsible for any actions taken by the pet outside of scheduled services.

6. Results Disclaimer

Pacific Paws will use professional techniques to help the pet improve, when it comes to training services. However, Client acknowledges that dog training is complex, and Pacific Paws cannot guarantee specific results. Client agrees to make reasonable attempts at following the Trainer/Handler’s guidance, practice exercises between sessions, and acknowledges that consistency and effort from the Client are critical to the success of the training.

7. Termination of Service

Pacific Paws reserves the right to refuse service and/or terminate services for any reason that the trainer/handler deems reasonable.

8. Time Flexibility

Handlers may be up to 45 minutes late or early to appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic or unexpected events with a prior client. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide quality care and attention to every appointment.

9. Rescheduling Allowance

Training Programs:

The Client may reschedule up to three sessions per program with at least 24 hours notice. Additional rescheduling requests or missed sessions may not be accommodated, and no refunds will be provided.

10. Payment Policy

Single appointments:

I require full payment at time of appointment booking through the appointment scheduler.

Packages/Programs:

Paw packages and training programs must be purchased and redeemed through the scheduler.

11. Cancellation Policy

Fulfillment Services & Packages:

You have until 1 day (24 hours) before the start of our appointment, or first appointment in a package to cancel for 100% refund. If canceled less than 1 day (24 hours) before our appointment, no refund will be provided.

Training Programs:

You have until 7 days (168 hours) before the first appointment in the program to cancel for 100% refund.

If cancelled later than 7 days (168 hours) before the first appointment in the program, no refund will be provided.

Single training services:

You have until 1 day (24 hours) before the start of our appointment to cancel for 100% refund. If cancelled less than 1 day (24 hours) before the start of our appointment, no refund will be provided.

12. Media Release

The Client gives permission for Pacific Paws to use photos or videos of the dog for promotional and educational purposes, unless the Client specifies otherwise.
