Teaching your pup how to be calm in the crate and self-soothe (especially when you know they’re tired) is going to help every other behavior you practice.

Poppy is ready for a nap after a hike, but she’s in a new place and is struggling to settle (understandably).

So what do I do?

I wait until she gives me calm and go reward her. I decided to help her out a bit by putting calming classical music on and letting her regulate her own emotions until she falls asleep :)
